December 9 Newsletter
All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these
things in her heart and thought about them often. ~Luke 2:18,19 NLT
December 9, 2011
Dear Parents, Your students have been rehearsing their songs and speaking parts all week! We are truly looking forward to a delightful evening of entertainment next Wednesday evening. You are in for a treat! Mrs. Stanton has a wonderful program to present to our SJA families! Also, a big thank you to Mrs. Yaeger for sharing her artistic talents on the amazing props you will see on our stage. WOW!! As you enter SJA for our Christmas program this year, we will be collecting bags of frozen vegetables and or bags of dried beans to help with one of our community service projects for 2012! Our students will be helping to make soup for the Agape Café which provides a free lunch to those in need. Donations for this project are requested, not required! So, thank you in advance for your donations if you are able!! Also, “roasted chestnuts” will be available for purchase before the program begins. I don’t know about you, but I’ve never had a roasted chestnut! I’m looking forward to this delectable treat! All proceeds will go toward the Guatemala Mission Trip that 3 of our students will be attending in the spring. Many of you have mentioned that you have already sold several of your First Aid kits! Please make sure to contact the school to reserve any that you might need before the Christmas holiday. Don’t forget to check out the window in Mrs. Suppé’s office. On it is a poster with an HHT awareness petition. Help support the Timothy Family pass the HHT (Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia) Diagnosis and Treatment Act by signing the 2 petitions in the lobby (one for the house and one for the senate). They are to raise money and early diagnosis and treatment which will not only save lives but save healthcare funds, and prevent families from having more serious problems like Jake did. The act will be posted with the petitions for any one who would like specific details. For more information on HHT you can visitHHT.ORG. We look forward to seeing all of you at our Christmas Program!
